Cocker Spaniel Portrait Painting

This portrait of a handsome black and white Cocker Spaniel was a joy to create. The distinctive markings of his coat presented an interesting artistic challenge, allowing me to explore the rich contrast between light and dark while capturing the softness and texture of his beautiful fur.

I used Pan Pastels and traditional pastels and I focused on portraying not only his striking appearance but also his gentle expression and individual character. My aim was to create a portrait that celebrated both his unique markings and the personality that made him such a treasured companion.

I was delighted that my client was so pleased with the finished painting, and it was a privilege to create a lasting reminder of such a beautiful dog.
