Framing your pastel portrait painting
A guide to framing
Your pastel painting will require framing by a reputable framer who will use archival quality materials so that your painting will be protected and safe. Due to the nature of pastels (which are a dry medium) they require a mount (the border which keeps the glass off the pastel) and a frame.
I can send your painting to you unframed so that you can take it to your local reputable framer, (postage is much cheaper this way) or I can arrange framing for you. I will only post paintings framed with acrylic instead of glass as carriers do not insure glass in case of breakage.
The custom frames I organise and supply for you are beautifully and skilfully handmade to order by the framer I have entrusted my work to for many years, who is based in Witham, Essex. If you require this service it can take an extra couple of weeks.
Shipping or Collection
Paintings are shipped unframed by Special Delivery, or if framed, by Parcel Force if it exceeds the Special Delivery size allowance. I only ship framed paintings with acrylic instead of glass due to the risk of breakage.
If you prefer to collect your framed painting you can do so either from myself in Clacton or the framing shop in Witham High Street, Essex.
